On October 22nd 2021 in Sali on Dugi otok as part of project activities Sanja Klempić Bogadi and Nenad Starc held a public lecture. Sanja Klempić Bogadi (co-authored with Sonja Podgorelec) gave a public lecture entitled Time Aspects of Island Migration: The Example of the Islands near Zadar, while Nenad Starc gave a lecture entitled Island Development Policy: Who is Late and Who is Already Too Late? The lecture was supported by the Municipality of Sali.
The conceptual starting points of the project A Network of Island Temporalities were presented in the new issue of the University of Zadar newspapers LANTERNA. Anica Čuka presented the problems of temporalities in the context of her own geographical research conducted on Dugi otok island.
Tomislav Oroz participated in the international literary festival Salon meets Agora: Literary Mapping of the Mediterranean, which took place in Split, Croatia (November 27th to December 5th 2021). As part of a round table entitled Mediterranean from the point of view of cultural anthropology, he participated in a discussion with Virginia Monteforte from Malta, problematizing contemporary migration, identity and island issues in the context of the Mediterranean (Crosbi).
Tomislav Oroz participated as the keynote speaker in the international scientific conference Interkulturelle Räume. Historische Routen und Passagen der Gegenwart unter besonderer Berücksichtigung des Mittelmeerraums, organized by the Gessellschaft fur the interkulturelle Germanistik (University of Zadar, 19-22.4.2022.). The title of the lecture From 'Time to Time' - Time Routes and Temporal Fragments in the Representations of Eastern Adriatic problematized the concept of diverse temporal modalities (anticipation, boredom, fjaka, etc.) in three diferent examples (travel writings, promotional tourist films, linčarnica on Dugi otok) in Eastern Adriatic. For the purpose of the popularization of project A Network of Island Temporalities a leaflet has been designed with basic information about the project, the goal of the project, names of associated and QR code (link to web site of the project). The central feature of the design revolves around the island-shaped logo of the project made by designer Anđela Žapčić.
Team members of Network of Island Temporalities project participated in the work of the 18th international conference ISISA (International Small Island Studies Association) conference entitled Islands of the World - Islands: Nature and Culture, held from June 13-17, 2022. at the University of Zadar. Tomislav Oroz (PI) and project associates Nenad Starc and Anica Čuka participated as presenters, members of the organizing committee and members of the scientific committee. Sanja Klempić Bogadi and Sonja Podgorelec participated as presenters and as members of the scientific committee. Petra Valovičić and Jadran Kale presented the results of their research as presenters. Over a hundred participants from all over the world took part in the five days conference and visited the islands of Pag, Ugljan and Dugi otok.

Tomislav Oroz (PI) participated as a presenter on the workshop Paradigms of Europan Cultural Analysis: The Mediterranean Sea as the Common Space organized by IUC (Interuniversity Center in Dubrovnik) and held in Dubrovnik from 23rd-28th of July 2022. In the presentation entitle In the Ruins of the Past - Historical Debris and Temporal Regression in the Eastern Adriatic Tomislav Oroz discussed focused on the problems of social, cultural, ideological and historical roots of the diverse temporal modalities in Eastern Adriatic by taking into consideration the comparative approach in the wider Mediterranean context. The comparison was especially focused on the similarities between the discourses of belated modernity associated with the South-Eastern European borderland area and the similar questions of temporal othering emerging from Italian Questione meridionale.
